[Pokémon] Weird shiny glitch

Well, I want to talk about a glitch my cousin had on his emerald game. You know the route right of the town with brawly, he found tons of shiny tentacool there. It was like the chance was only 1/3 , I know he didn't use any hacking and I saw it before my eyes. i doubt he just got lucky. He had known it for a few weeks, eventually he reset his game. The glitch appears to be gone. I want to know if anyone knows anything about this, for my own curiosity.

Wow that was interesting! I didn't expect something like that to happen! It must've been cool yet disturbing at the same time!

I'm just really curious about it, hoping someone else has had it happen to them...

There were a lot of shinys though, I played it and found a probably 30 in 15 minutes.
